Second Sail

Sail Day 2 (May 21, 2012):
Weather: Sunny, Very Warm, 7-10 knots
Rig time: still about 25 minutes
Sail time: about 1:30

I still couldn't reduce my time to rig the Laser. I left my mainsheet wrapped around the boom, which was a silly idea, since it simply became twisted. I also had a hard time loosening the outhaul. I didn't have enough tension on the hiking strap, which meant that when the wind picked up I couldn't hike out too far. This time around I tried to gybe more. It may take the whole season to really get it down right. Here's a video that helped me:

Goal: improve rigging time to 10 minutes.
